Adoption is the process by which you become the legal parent of a child who is not your own. Adoptive parents are then the legal parents of the child. The moment you adopt a child, s/he no longer has any legal ties with his/her biological (birth) family.
In principle, in Germany you can adopt a child
- who is already related to you,
- whom you do not know and who is not related to you,
- who comes from another country.
You can also adopt your partner's child.
In order that a child may be adopted in Germany, the adoptive parents and the child's biological parents must be in agreement.
When you adopt a child, it is permanent. This means that you cannot give the child back if there are problems or if the child turns out to be different from what you imagined.
Homosexualcouples can also adopt children in Germany under specific conditions.
Adoptim do të thotë, që ju birësoni ligjërisht një fëmijë, i cili nuk është fëmija juaj. Pas kësaj, prindërit adoptues janë nga ana ligjore prindërit e fëmijës. Që nga momenti, në të cilin ju adoptoni një fëmijë, të gjitha marrëdhëniet ligjore të fëmijës, me familjen e tij biologjike (= natyrore), janë të pavlefshme.
Parimisht ju mund të adoptoni një fëmijë në Gjermani
- i cili është i afërmi juaj,
- të cilin ju nuk e njihni dhe i cili nuk është i afërmi juaj,
- i cili vjen nga një vend tjetër.
Ju mund të adoptoni edhe fëmijën e partneres apo partnerit tuaj.
Që një fëmijë në Gjermani të mund të adoptohet, për këtë duhet të jenë dakort prindërit adoptues dhe prindërit biologjik (= natyral) të fëmijës.
Kur ju adoptoni një fëmijë, kjo është përgjithmonë. Kjo do të thotë, që ju nuk mund ta ktheni fëmijën, në rast se ekziston ndonjë problem ose nëse fëmija do të zhvillohet ndryshe, nga çka keni përfytyruar ju.
Nën kushte të caktuara, edhe çiftethomoseksuale mund të adoptojnë fëmijë në Gjermani.
