If you are pregnant and do not want to have a baby, you can end the pregnancy with an abortion.
Before you can get an abortion, you have to attend a counselling session. The abortion takes place a few days later.
If you decide to continue the pregnancy, you still have 2 options:
- To keep the baby;
- To give the baby up for adoption. Beware of untrustworthy organisations. Consult official adoption agencies only.
In some countries women can give birth to their baby at the hospital without having to give their name or without the hospital having to make the mother’s name known. After giving birth, the mother leaves the hospital. The baby is put up for adoption after a certain time.

Als u zwanger bent en u wil geen baby krijgen, kunt u de zwangerschap beëindigen met een abortus.
Voordat u een abortus kunt laten uitvoeren, moet u op consultatiegesprek komen. De abortus vindt enkele dagen daarna plaats.
Als u beslist om de zwangerschap verder te zetten, heeft u 2 opties:
- De baby houden;
- De baby afstaan voor adoptie. Let op voor onbetrouwbare organisaties. Neem enkel contact op met officiële adoptiebureaus.
In sommige landen kunnen vrouwen in het ziekenhuis bevallen zonder dat ze hun naam moeten geven of zonder dat het ziekenhuis de naam van de moeder moet bekendmaken. Na de bevalling, verlaat de moeder het ziekenhuis. De baby wordt na een tijd afgestaan voor adoptie.
