Testul de sarcină
Dacă nu ţi-a mai venit menstruaţia (ciclul menstrual), s-ar putea să fi rămas gravidă. Menstruaţiile neregulate pot avea însă şi alte explicaţii.
Pentru a afla dacă ai rămas gravidă poţi să faci aşa-numitul test de sarcină.
Testele de sarcină se pot cumpăra de la supermarket, de la farmacie sau drogherie. Aproape toate testele costă în jur de zece euro.
Testul se face dacă menstruația nu a început în ziua aşteptată. Mai există şi teste numite „timpurii”. Aceste teste nu sunt însă sigure.
Testul măsoară concentraţia de hormoni de sarcină hCG din urină. Cel mai bine e să faci testul dimineaţa, fiindcă atunci concentraţia respectivă este cea mai mare.
Cum se foloseşte testul
- Ţine testul sub jetul de urină, sau adună urina într-un pahar şi pune testul în urină.
- Ţine apoi testul pe orizontală. Cel mai bine ar fi să-l pui pe masă.
- Aşteaptă câteva minute până când apare rezultatul.
- În funcție de tipul testului, se va observa o anumită schimbare a culorii testului, sau va apărea o linie, resp. mesajul „însărcinată” sau „neînsărcinată”. Citeşte în instrucţiunile de folosire pentru a afla cum se interpretează rezultatul afişat.
Rezultatul testului
Dacă testul arată că ai rămas gravidă, e foarte probabil să fie aşa. Sarcina poate fi confirmată şi cu un test făcut de un medic sau o moaşă.

Dacă nu-ţi vine ciclul la timp, mai fă un test peste câteva zile. Dacă şi acest test arată că nu ai rămas însărcinată, du-te la un medic. Medicii pot atunci afla de ce menstruaţia nu mai apare.
Te poţi duce imediat la un medic pentru a-ţi face acolo un test de sarcină. Spune când ajungi la recepţie că vrei să faci un test de sarcină.
De obicei, în cabinetul medical ţi se vor face şi analizele la urină.
Uneori e nevoie şi de analize de sânge. Rezultatul îl vei primi a doua zi.
Pregnancy test

How to take the test
- Hold the test strip in the stream of urine. Or urinate into a container and dip the test strip into the urine.
- Put the test down on a horizontal surface, such as a table.
- Wait a few minutes, then read the result in the display window.
- Depending on the test you have used, the result may be shown as a change in colour of the test strip, a line appearing, or the message “pregnant” or “not pregnant”. The message will be explained in the leaflet accompanying the test.
Test result
If the test is positive, it is very likely that you are pregnant. You can also have the pregnancy confirmed by another test by a doctor or midwife.
If the test is negative, you are probably not pregnant.
If your period still does not arrive, take another test a few days later. If this test is also negative, consult a doctor, who can check why your period has not arrived.
You can also go straight to a doctor and have your pregnancy test there. Say that you want a pregnancy test as soon as you arrive.
Usually you will take a urine test at the doctor’s surgery.
Sometimes a blood test will also be performed. In this case, you will get the result the following day.
