Koppels - met of zonder kinderen - kunnen ervoor kiezen om samen te leven. U heeft hierbij verschillende mogelijkheden:

• Trouwen
• Zonder huwelijk samenwonen.

Sommige koppels hebben een relatie maar wonen niet samen. Dit type relatie wordt 'Living Apart Together' genoemd.
