Фімоз – це спеціальний термін для позначення звуження крайньої плоті. Вважається, що крайня плоть занадто вузька, коли її важко і боляче повністю відвести за головку. Майже всі хлопчики народжуються зі звуженням крайньої плоті, яке зазвичай зникає в дитинстві.

Фімоз можна лікувати або спеціальними мазями, або операцією (обрізанням).

Phimosis is the medical term for a tight foreskin. The foreskin is too tight if it cannot be fully pulled back behind the glans without difficulty and pain. Almost all boys are born with a tight foreskin, and usually it resolves during their childhood.

Phimosis can be treated with special ointments or by surgery (circumcision).
