PPE (profilaksia pas ekspozimit) është një trajtim me ilaçe për virusinHIV pas kontaktit seksual pa mbrojtje dhe në rast dyshimi të arsyetuar për një infektim potencial. Trajtimi zvogëlon rrezikun e një infeksioni me virusin HIV. Trajtimi duhet të fillojë brenda 3 ditëve nga kontakti i rrezikshëm.

PEP (post-exposure prophylaxis) is a treatment with HIVmedicines after unprotected sexual contact and the justified suspicion of possibly being infected. The treatment reduces the risk of an HIV infection. The treatment has to start within 3 days of the risky contact.
