La PPE (prophylaxie post-exposition) est un traitement avec des médicaments anti-VIH donné suite à un contact sexuel non protégé, en cas de soupçon motivé d’une infection. Ce traitement réduit les risques d’infection par le VIH. Ce traitement doit commencer dans les 3 jours suivant le contact à risque.

PEP (post-exposure prophylaxis) is a treatment with HIVmedicines after unprotected sexual contact and the justified suspicion of possibly being infected. The treatment reduces the risk of an HIV infection. The treatment has to start within 3 days of the risky contact.
