Not wanting children
Some people want children, others do not. Either is fine and your personal decision. No-one can force you to be a mother or father. You have the right to decide for yourself.
Your wish to have children or not can also change throughout your life. Maybe you would like to have children at some point in the future, but you aren’t ready now. You decide for yourself when you want children.
Contraception
If you do not have a desire to have children at present, use contraception when having sexual intercourse.
There are various means and methods of contraception. Talk with your partner about it.
Geen kinderwens
Sommige mensen willen kinderen, anderen niet. Dat is allebei prima en alleen jouw beslissing. Niemand mag je dwingen om moeder of vader te worden. Je hebt het recht om zelf te beslissen.
Of je wel of geen kinderen wilt, kan ook veranderen in de loop van je leven. Misschien wil je in de toekomst graag kinderen, maar ben je er nu nog niet klaar voor. Jij beslist wanneer je kinderen wilt.
Anticonceptie
Als je nu geen kinderen wilt, moet je anticonceptie gebruiken bij geslachtsgemeenschap.
Er zijn verschillende anticonceptiemiddelen en -methoden. Praat hierover met je partner.
